Tai Hing Sales Manager Peter Pang was interviewed by cleaning brush industry magazine, BBM, and he have talked about some challenges that have taken place due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and what has been done to meet those challenges.

“As work resumed, Tai Hing Chairman Wilson Lau encouraged us to keep calm, and made a solemn promise of ‘no layoffs, no pay cuts.’ Our company has continued its focus on research and development, including the launch of a 100 percent plastic nose wire for domestic mask manufacturers. That was done to fully support efforts to combat the pandemic,” Pang said.

“In this difficult period, as a company, we are keeping in place our strong belief of ‘be progressive, be excellent.’ It’s important to maintain our primary focus of producing high quality and innovative brush filaments. We continue to conduct research associated with the cleaning and hygiene industries, helping us maintain a consistent and high level of service and products.

“Tai Hing also provides professional brush filament solutions, as well as improved production technology, as it pertains to such product categories as antibacterial nylon fine filaments. We work as well to expand the application and scope of other products, such as with vacuum cleaner and household cleaning tools. Another focus is supporting the development of greater abrasive filaments, such as those used in the industrial polishing and cleaning industries.”
Looking ahead, Pang said that despite current business and industry challenges, he remains optimistic about the future.
Filament product demand has dropped significantly in the first and second quarters due to the COVID-19. However, as contagion comes under better control in China, a recovery of brushes industries saw in the third quarter.
During the pandemic, public health awareness on personal hygiene increase causes the demand for household cleaning appliances to rise, as well as the demand recovery for beauty and hair products lately, Tai Hing orders in the fourth quarter is continuous growth.
